Summary
Arcads is a strong AI actor library starting at $110/mo, but requires a third-party editor to finish videos. Read the full desk research review.
Last updated 23 September 2026. This is desk research from Arcads' public pages, its terms and three third-party write-ups. No account was opened and no video was generated. Not sponsored by Arcads.
How this review was researched. Every page was checked on 23 September 2026. Trustpilot, G2 and Product Hunt returned HTTP 403 to an automated browser and Capterra returned 404, so there is no rating in this review. Prices come from third parties who reached the in-app paywall, because Arcads shows none publicly.
The Arcads Starter plan costs $110 a month in every write-up that has reached the paywall. What that $110 buys depends on who you read: 10 videos in Marketer Milk's March 2025 review and in eesel AI's June 2026 breakdown, or 8,000 credits and "up to 50 videos" in Wireflow's July 2026 guide. Arcads doesn't settle it, because arcads.ai/pricing opens on a page that says "Page Not Found". This review works out which number to plan around, and what the terms say about finishing the ad.
Arcads earns its price when a believable person talking to camera is the whole ad and you already have an editor. It's a poor first buy if you need to see a price before signing up, sell something people have to watch in someone's hand, or want captioned ads out of one tool.
Only care about price? Jump to the paywall section. Selling a physical product? Read the actor section first, because that's where the one hands-on review I found drew its line.
The Arcads homepage in September 2026, with "Meet Mark, your AI ad agent" above the product link placeholder.
Key takeaways
Arcads publishes no pricing page. The $110 Starter, $220 Creator and custom (or $550) Pro figures all come from third parties who saw the in-app paywall. (Checked 23 September 2026)
On Wireflow's reported rates of 800 credits per minute per actor and 8,000 credits on Starter, "up to 50 videos" means clips of about 12 seconds. A 30-second single-actor clip costs 400 credits, so Starter covers about 20 of them a month.
The Arcads terms that entered into force on 22 September 2026 say edits such as subtitles or music must be made after you download the video, "outside the Platform". The homepage lists AI Video Editing as "Soon!".
The actor library is the reason people pay. The site lists 1,000+ AI actors, and Marketer Milk's 2025 review said of one of them, "I would not be able to tell it's AI."
What Arcads is in 2026: an AI actor library with Sora, Kling and Seedance on top
Arcads is an AI UGC video platform built around a catalogue of AI actors made from footage of real creators. You upload a script, pick one or more actors, and Arcads lip-syncs the actor and clones a voice to read it. Its 2026 site also fronts third-party video and image models, priced in the same credits.
Arcads sells itself with the line "Create winning ads with AI", and its page description calls it "the #1 gen AI platform for marketing teams". That ranking is Arcads' own claim, with no measurement attached. The company behind it is FRESHR, a French simplified joint-stock company registered in Rouen, according to the Arcads terms that entered into force on 22 September 2026.
The terms describe two ways to buy: "Standard offers as described on the Platform" and a "Customized offer made following a call". They also say the API is only accessible on the Customized offer. Keep that split in mind for the pricing section, because it explains why the top tier has no fixed price in most write-ups.
The catalogue of filmed creators at the core
A final video is built from "a catalogue of videos made by different creators... in different environments", which Arcads calls Video Models, or from your own footage, or from a prompt run through the AI tools on the platform.
Your script then drives the Video Model. Arcads handles "the lip-sync and cloning the voice with that of the Video Model Creator, another Creator or the voice of the original voice in the Client Video". Put several Video Models on one script and you get several videos, "each corresponding to a Credit".
Starting from real people filmed on real sets is why Marketer Milk could point to people walking around in the background of a mirror shot. It also explains why a product demo that the creator never filmed is the hard case, which is exactly where that review drew its line in 2025.
The model menu and the Create Workflow canvas
The 2026 homepage adds a second layer. A row of tool chips lists Seedream, Background Remover, Captions, Swap actor, Nano Banana, Camera Angle, Sora 2 Pro, Talking Actors, GPT Image, Change Voices, Unboxing, Translate video, Replace Actor, Seedance, Extract Frame, Transcribe, Animate Actor, Kling, Extend videos and UGC Studio. Feature pages carry a "Sora 2 pro live" badge.
Three short blocks under the chips set out the pitch: "Choose your model", "Shape your ad" and "Start from proven formats", the last described as "ready-made ad presets built for performance marketers". Below them sits "Create Workflow", described as "one infinite canvas to create, test and scale ads faster as a team".
In practice this turns Arcads into two products sold on one credit balance: the actor library it built its name on, and a front end for models made by other companies. The second part is where credit costs vary most. Wireflow's July 2026 guide lists Seedance 2.0 at 96 to 1,620 credits per generation, a seventeenfold range inside one model.
Script in, talking clip out: the Arcads AI UGC workflow (2025 walkthrough)
The steps below come from Marketer Milk's hands-on review by Omid G, published 27 March 2025, and checked against the 2026 terms. I didn't open the interface, so treat button labels as the 2025 version.
AI UGC workflow diagram showing the steps to create a video ad using Arcads AI, from script input to final editing.
Step 1: Start from text or your own audio
A new project opens in text-to-speech or speech-to-speech. You paste a script, or upload or record audio and let Arcads transcribe it. The reviewer found the first screen bare and missed an onboarding walkthrough, so expect a slow first day. There was also no built-in script writer in 2025, and the reviewer pointed to ChatGPT, Claude or Arcads' free AI Hook Generator instead. The 2026 footer lists an "AI Content Generator" page, but whether it writes scripts inside the editor is unverified. Arrive with your own script.
Step 2: Cast one actor or five
You can attach several actors to one script and generate them in one run. The filters were gender, age group, skin tone and environment, and the library was too big for the reviewer to scroll through. This is the feature built for creative testing: one script, five faces, and in the 2025 flow one credit per video (terms, article 8.1).
Step 3: Listen before you spend
You can play back how each actor reads your script before generating, and no credit is used on the preview (Marketer Milk; eesel AI, June 2026). Use it hard. A flat delivery costs nothing to fix here and a full re-render to fix later, because eesel AI, citing Airpost, reports that even small changes mean regenerating the whole video.
Step 4: Read the credit prompt, then generate
Clicking "Generate videos" in 2025 opened a confirmation with the credit cost (two credits for two videos in the test) and a few tips. Two matter: don't write scripts that stray from what a real person would say, because the actors are based on real people, and punctuate on purpose, because a question mark makes the actor sound like they're asking one. Processing took a few minutes. In 2025 Arcads also offered a done-for-you edit booked on a call, with a finished video in two business days.
Step 5: Download and finish elsewhere
The test clips came out around 33MB each and went into an outside editor, CapCut being the one named. The 2026 terms keep it that way. Article 8.2 says that to add subtitles or music, you download the video and edit it "outside the Platform".
An Arcads script you can paste and adapt
Marketer Milk found that a question mark changes how the actor delivers a line, so the script is where you control tone. The example below uses a made-up product, hasn't been run through Arcads, and reads in about 25 seconds at a normal pace. On Wireflow's reported rate of 800 credits per minute, that's roughly 330 credits.
``` [0-5s HOOK: end on a question mark so it lands as a question]
Why does my water bottle still smell like last week's coffee?
[5-9s PROBLEM: short sentences, full stops]
I scrubbed it. I soaked it. Still there.
[9-20s PRODUCT: one claim, one reason]
This one is steel all the way through. No plastic liner to hold the smell. Coffee in the morning, water at the gym. Same bottle. No taste.
[20-25s CALL TO ACTION: offer said once, spelled out]
Twenty percent off your first order. The link is right below.```
Spell numbers out so the voice reads them the way you want, keep one claim per line, and cut anything the actor would need to hold up or point at. Save the physical demo for the b-roll you add in your editor.
1,000+ faces and a 2025 warning: Arcads AI actors for physical products
The actor library is what separates Arcads from most AI UGC tools. For an ecommerce brand it is also where the biggest open question sits: whether an actor built from another person's footage can sell a product that person never filmed.
The variety of available AI avatars for video ads from Arcads AI
What the Arcads actor library claims in September 2026
The homepage and feature pages read on 23 September 2026 promise "1,000+ Captivating AI Actors" and "The best AI UGC library with 1,000+ AI Actors". A block titled "Actors holding your product" says you can "Create your own AI Actor. Generate a face... And make them hold your product, show your app, and wear your clothes."
Two more claims sit beside it: "You have full emotion control. Just write how you want it", and "Accurate translation in more than 30 languages". eesel AI's table of the Starter paywall lists 35 languages, so the count depends on which page you read.
The headline number and your plan's number may also differ. Wireflow's July 2026 table gives Starter 300 AI actors, Creator 1,000 and Pro 1,500. If a specific face on the homepage is the reason you are buying, check which tier includes it.
Where the 2025 hands-on review drew the product line
Marketer Milk's is the only hands-on test of Arcads I could read, and its praise is specific. Of the actor Vincent, the reviewer wrote "I would not be able to tell it's AI," and said his tone, gestures and voice all held up. Another actor, Helen, sounded slightly synthetic, which the reviewer thought a marketer would probably catch.
The same review drew a line that matters for any Shopify store. It called Arcads best for digital products such as courses, coaching, newsletters, SaaS and apps, and wrote: "I don't think it's great for ecommerce businesses with physical products." The reasoning was an 80/20 split. Arcads covers most of the ad for a digital product and about a fifth of it for a physical one, where the demo is most of the ad.
The "hold your product" claim on the 2026 homepage postdates that review. No independent write-up read on 23 September 2026 shows an Arcads actor holding a real SKU, so treat it as Arcads' claim until you see it on your own product. If the trial the homepage advertises is available to you, that is the first thing to test.
The paywall problem: Arcads pricing, credits and the 10-or-50-videos question
Arcads pricing has three layers of uncertainty: there is no public price list, the third-party price lists disagree on what Starter includes, and credit costs vary by action and model.
Why arcads.ai/pricing returns "Page Not Found"
On 23 September 2026, arcads.ai/pricing loaded with the title "Not Found" and the message "The page you are looking for doesn't exist or has been moved". Wireflow reported the same 404 in July 2026, and eesel AI wrote in June that "every version of arcads.ai/pricing returns a 404".
The terms explain where the price lives. Article 7.1 says that for Standard offers, "the details of the Offer will be shown directly on the Platform". You see the price after you register, not before. For a team that needs a budget line approved before anyone creates an account, that alone can end the evaluation.
Three write-ups, three versions of the $110 Starter plan
Every figure below is third-party reported. Two of the three sources sell other software, and Wireflow pitches a competing product in the same article. Treat them as dated snapshots of a paywall. None is Arcads' price list.
$550 list, $385 discounted, 40,000 credits, 1,500 actors, API and actor cloning
The 10 and 50 can be reconciled in two ways. At Wireflow's reported 800 credits per minute per actor, 8,000 credits is 10 minutes of single-actor video a month, which is ten one-minute videos or fifty 12-second ones. The arithmetic is ours, from Wireflow's rates.
One snag before you trust any of this. Marketer Milk's 2025 review and article 8.1 of the terms count one credit per generated video, while Wireflow's July 2026 guide prices credits by duration. Both can't describe the same meter. The unit may have changed between 2025 and 2026, which would also explain why Starter went from "10 videos" to 8,000 credits, but no source says so. Treat any per-video figure as unverified until you see the meter on the paywall.
What one Arcads video costs in credits
Wireflow is the only source I read that lists per-action costs, so the cost math below rests on one company that has something to sell.
In dollars, a 30-second single-actor clip on Starter works out to $3.85 at the discounted $77 (if that discount is still offered), or $5.50 at the $110 list price. A 60-second clip is $7.70 or $11.00. The $11 figure that Marketer Milk and eesel quote per video matches the one-minute case.
Wireflow's own $11 figure needs a footnote. Its estimate of "roughly $11 per finished video at the discounted rate" assumes a 30 to 60 second ad "with captions", while the same article says Starter has "no captions". Read that $11 as a Creator-plan number.
The annual plan, free trial and refund terms
Wireflow reports that the annual plan costs more than the monthly one. Annual billing takes 20% off list, which puts Starter at $88 a month, while the standing monthly discount of 30% puts it at $77 with no lock-in. By Wireflow's arithmetic that is $132 a year more for prepaying.
The free trial is the least settled fact in this Arcads review. On 23 September 2026 the homepage showed "Free trial available" and "7 days unlimited Seedance 2.5". eesel AI (June 2026) wrote "No public free trial", and Wireflow (July 2026) wrote "There is no free trial.", and both may have been right when they wrote.
The terms reference "Promotional Offers under the conditions of article 12.5", but the copy of the terms read for this review stopped after article 8.4, the Google Drive integration clause. Trial length, credit allowance, whether a card is required, auto-renewal and the cancellation and refund policy were therefore not verified. Before you enter a card, screenshot the trial terms on the paywall and find the cancel control in settings.
"Captions" on the homepage, "Soon!" underneath: the Arcads editing gap
The Arcads homepage says three different things about editing. The tool chips include "Captions" and "Background Remover". The "Shape your ad" block says you can "Edit, translate, extend, subtitle, upscale and remix your video using AI tools". And the actors section, on the same page, lists "AI Video Editing: Add B-Rolls, music, captions and transitions in one click. Soon!"
The terms dated 22 September 2026 take the narrowest reading. Article 8.2: "If the Client wishes to edit a Video in order to modify it (for example: adding subtitles, adding music), they must download the Video in order to make these modifications outside the Platform."
Two outside sources fit the contract better than the chips. Wireflow lists captions at 80 credits per video and gated to Creator and above. Marketer Milk's 2025 cons list starts with "Need to use your own editing tool (like Capcut) to add all the finishing touches". eesel AI, citing a review by Airpost, adds that "small adjustments... require re-generating the entire video".
Plan on Arcads making the talking clip and nothing more. The hook text, captions, music, product b-roll and end card happen in whatever editor you already use, so that editor's cost and time belong in your cost per ad.
Arcads pros and cons, one source per line
Each line names where it comes from. No independent rating platform could be read on 23 September 2026 (Trustpilot, G2 and Product Hunt returned HTTP 403, Capterra returned 404), so this list relies on Arcads' own pages, its terms and three named write-ups.
Pros
Actor realism: "I would not be able to tell it's AI" about the actor Vincent (Marketer Milk, March 2025).
Free preview of every actor's read before any credit is spent (Marketer Milk; eesel AI, June 2026).
Several actors on one script in a single run, one credit per video (Marketer Milk; Arcads terms article 8.1).
Translation "in more than 30 languages" (Arcads homepage, September 2026).
Cheaper than hiring: Fiverr UGC creators charged "anywhere from $80-$200+" per video when Marketer Milk checked in 2025.
Direct support: in 2025 you could "literally email the founder", plus an in-product ArcBot that routes to a person (Marketer Milk).
Optional Google Drive import and export (Arcads terms article 8.4).
Cons
No public price. Plans only appear after signup (arcads.ai/pricing, 23 September 2026; eesel AI; Wireflow).
Subtitles and music must be added "outside the Platform" (Arcads terms article 8.2), with AI Video Editing marked "Soon!" on the homepage.
Starter reportedly has no captions and no background removal, and captions cost 80 credits per video on higher plans (Wireflow, July 2026).
A small tweak means a full re-generation, as eesel AI reports citing Airpost.
Starter reportedly includes 300 actors, not the 1,000+ on the homepage (Wireflow).
You bring the script: "no templates or AI-generated text" in 2025 (Marketer Milk). The site now lists an AI Content Generator page, so this may have changed.
Weak fit for physical products in the only hands-on review read (Marketer Milk).
Trial and refund terms could not be read in the public terms (article 12.5 not reached).
Who Arcads fits: DTC brands, app studios and the physical-product line
Arcads names its own buyers as "Fast growing D2C brands, $1B mobile app studios, top marketing agencies", and its footer lists industry pages for E-Commerce, SaaS, Mobile Apps, Lead Generation, Marketing Agencies, Insurance, Real Estate Agencies and Law Firm. The e-commerce page read on 23 September 2026 carries the same sections as the homepage under the headline "High-Converting AI UGC Ads for E-Commerce".
Buy Arcads if:
A person talking to camera is the whole ad: an app, a subscription, a course, a service, or a DTC product whose selling point is a feeling or a result rather than a visible feature.
You already cut ads in CapCut or another editor and only need the talking clip.
You want Arcads UGC ads that test several faces on a proven script, and you run a handful of polished videos a month rather than dozens of rough ones.
You need the same ad in several languages, which is one of the features Arcads states plainly.
Skip Arcads, or wait, if:
You sell a physical product and the demo is the ad, until you have seen an Arcads actor hold your SKU convincingly.
You need finance sign-off on a price before anyone creates an account.
You test hooks at volume on Starter. At 400 credits per 30-second clip, 20 clips a month disappear fast in a real testing cadence.
You want one tool to hand you a captioned, music-backed, ready-to-upload video for Meta ads or TikTok ads.
Four takes, one keeper: the AI UGC cost lesson that outlives any tool
Every credit-based AI UGC tool quotes a price per video. The number that matters for your ad budget is the price per video you would put spend behind, and the gap between the two is the number of takes it took to get there.
The formula is short enough to keep in a spreadsheet cell:
`` keepers per month = monthly credits ÷ (credits per clip × takes per keeper) cost per ad you run = plan price ÷ keepers per month ``
Run it on Arcads Starter with Wireflow's figures and eesel AI's example of four variations tested per winner. A 30-second single-actor keeper costs 1,600 credits, so 8,000 credits make five keepers a month: $15.40 each at $77, or $22 at $110. On Creator with captions, four takes cost 1,920 credits and 16,000 credits make eight keepers, about $19 each at $154.
Those numbers still sit under the $80 to $200+ that Marketer Milk found Fiverr creators charging in 2025. The comparison only holds if the four takes test something worth testing. Arcads makes the actor the easiest variable to swap, one script and several faces at a credit each. But a test where only the face changes can only tell you which face won.
Settle the hook and the claim before you spend the first credit. Put the takes on the variables most likely to move click-through rate and, downstream, ROAS, and swap the actor last.
Arcads alternatives for ecommerce video ads
Three other routes, cheapest first. None copies Arcads' catalogue of filmed creators, which is the thing Arcads does best, so each suits a different job: CapCut finishes footage, Creatify shows you the price, and Promer AI starts from the product.
CapCut, the free finishing layer
If you film your own UGC or hire creators and only need to cut, caption and resize, CapCut is where to start. It is also the editor Marketer Milk used to finish Arcads clips.
BIGVU's July 2026 pricing guide lists a CapCut free plan with a multi-track timeline, basic AI voiceover and 1080p export, with a watermark on templates and effects marked Pro. Paid Pro runs $7.99 to $19.99 a month depending on region and on whether you buy through an app store.
Pick CapCut when you already have the footage. Skip it as an Arcads replacement when nobody is on camera: CapCut edits footage, and Arcads supplies the person in it.
Creatify, the product-URL avatar specialist
Creatify publishes the price that Arcads keeps behind signup. On 23 September 2026 its pricing page listed a free plan of 10 monthly credits, "around 2 video ads or 20 image ads", with 300 AI actors and watermarked exports. Starter was $39 a month for 100 credits, 300 actors and videos up to 2 minutes.
The same page's comparison table lists 1,500 actors on Pro, a Competitor Ad Tracker (up to 10 brands), Ad Clone and an Ad Launcher for Meta, TikTok and AppLovin, so check which tier includes the feature you want.
Creatify's public pricing page, captured 23 September 2026.
Full disclosure: Promer AI is our product, so weigh this section accordingly. It's an ai ad creative performance platform for ecommerce advertisers, and it starts from the product rather than the script. You paste a product URL from Amazon, Shopify or any other store, or upload a product image, and it pulls the image, name, description and price before generating anything.
For UGC-style video, AI UGC Ads takes the product with several angle images and asks you to pick a format: Direct Testimonial, Voiceover Product Review, POV Product Demo, Problem and Solution, Routine or Day in the Life, or Unboxing. AI then suggests a video idea (hook, message, visual, call to action). After that you choose an AI avatar filtered by gender, age, region, shooting style and industry, and an AI voice filtered by language, accent, gender, age and use case.
Output is 720 HD, 9:16 and 15 seconds. You can download it or publish it to Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. If a reference video ad already works for someone else, AI Video Ad Clone rebuilds its structure for your product after a product-fit assessment. As with any AI output, the result can contain mistakes, so review it before you put spend behind it.
The trade against Arcads runs both ways. Arcads reportedly produces videos up to 120 seconds (eesel AI), states translation in more than 30 languages, and its actor realism is what Marketer Milk singled out. Promer AI's AI UGC Ads gives you a fixed 15-second vertical clip built from your product page and one of six set formats, with publishing in the same tool.
If your bottleneck is a steady supply of product ads to test rather than one perfect face, an ad creative platform built on product context is the closer fit. You can create your first ad free, no credit card required.
Arcads review verdict: buy it when the face is the whole ad
Arcads is a strong AI actor library sold as a component, and it pays off when a believable person reading your script is the ad and your editor handles everything after that.
Before paying, run five checks:
Write the script for one real ad and time it. Multiply the seconds by 800 credits per minute, then by the takes you usually need.
Compare that total with 8,000 credits (Starter) and 16,000 (Creator), using the figures you see on the paywall rather than the ones in this review.
Decide where captions, music and b-roll will be added, since the terms put them outside Arcads.
If you sell a physical product, use any trial to test an actor holding your actual SKU before buying a month.
Screenshot the trial, renewal and cancellation terms on the paywall, because the public terms read for this review stop before them.
If the numbers fit Creator with room to spare and your product sells through a person talking, Arcads is a reasonable bet for your next batch of hooks. If the math only works on Pro, or the demo is the ad, start with a tool whose price you can see.
FAQ
Is Arcads legit?
Arcads looks like a real, operating company. Its terms name FRESHR, a French company registered in Rouen, as the operator, and a 2025 hands-on review generated real videos with it. No rating platform could be read for this review, so check Trustpilot and G2 yourself before paying, especially for billing and renewal complaints.
Is Arcads worth it in 2026?
Arcads is worth it for brands whose ads are a person talking to camera and who already finish videos in another editor. Marketer Milk's 2025 hands-on review praised the realism of its AI actors, and a 30-second single-actor clip works out to about 400 credits on Wireflow's reported rates. Arcads is harder to justify for physical-product demos or high-volume hook testing on the $110 Starter plan.
How much does Arcads cost per month?
Arcads does not publish prices, but third parties report Starter at $110, Creator at $220 and Pro as custom or $550 a month. Wireflow (July 2026) reports a standing 30% discount that brings those to $77, $154 and $385, with 8,000, 16,000 and 40,000 credits. Marketer Milk and eesel AI describe Starter as 10 videos. Confirm the current figures on the in-app paywall.
Does Arcads have a free trial?
The Arcads homepage said "Free trial available" on 23 September 2026, but the trial's terms are only visible after signup. The same page promoted "7 days unlimited Seedance 2.5". eesel AI in June 2026 and Wireflow in July 2026 both reported no free trial. Check trial length, credit allowance and renewal on the paywall before entering a card.
How long can an Arcads video be?
Arcads does not publish a video length or script character limit on the pages read for this review. eesel AI's table of the Starter paywall lists "videos up to 120 seconds". Credits scale with length: Wireflow reports 800 credits per minute per actor, so a 60-second video uses 10% of an 8,000-credit Starter allowance.
Can an Arcads AI actor hold my product?
Arcads says yes: its site claims custom AI actors can "hold your product, show your app, and wear your clothes." No independent write-up read on 23 September 2026 shows this on a real SKU. Marketer Milk's 2025 hands-on review said Arcads was not great for physical products, so test it on your own product before committing.
Can you add captions and music inside Arcads?
Not according to the Arcads terms dated 22 September 2026, which say subtitles and music must be added after downloading, "outside the Platform". The homepage lists a Captions tool but marks AI Video Editing as "Soon!". Wireflow reports captions at 80 credits per video, available from the Creator plan up. Plan on finishing ads in CapCut or another editor.
Where can I read independent Arcads reviews?
Arcads has profiles on Trustpilot, G2 and Product Hunt, but none could be read for this review on 23 September 2026. All three returned HTTP 403 to an automated browser, and the Capterra URL returned 404. Open those pages yourself for current ratings and the distribution of reviews. The most detailed hands-on write-up read here is Marketer Milk's, from March 2025.
What is a cheaper Arcads alternative for ecommerce video ads?
Creatify, Promer AI and CapCut cover three different jobs. Creatify publicly lists a free plan and a $39 Starter and starts from a product link. Promer AI's AI UGC Ads builds a 15-second UGC-style video from a product URL in one of six formats. CapCut is the free editor for footage you already have. None of them replicates Arcads' catalogue of filmed creators.
